Chiang Mai: Known as the ‘Rose of the North,’ Chiang Mai is a city steeped in history and culture. Its Old City area houses numerous temples, including the revered Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, which offers panoramic views of the city. The city is also a hub for traditional Thai crafts and arts.

Chiang Rai and Anantara Elephant Camp: The largest northern town in Thailand is home to beautiful White Temple and is a great base for excursions to hill tribe villages and to Southeast Asia’s scenic golden triangle where the Anantara Elephant Camp is located. Erawan National Park enchants visitors with its seven-tiered waterfall, lush forests, and diverse wildlife, while an extremely slow ride on the Death Railway tracks provides breathtaking views of the scenic countryside. One of the highlights is sleeping in your floating cabin at the Float House on the River Kwai.

Ayutthaya: A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Ayutthaya is often done as a day trip from Bangkok and was once the capital of the ancient kingdom of Siam. The city is filled with historical sites, and temple complexes showcasing the grandeur of the former kingdom. Available lodging is very boutique and comfortable, but not luxury.

Beaches: The country’s coastline boasts idyllic beaches and picturesque islands. Phuket, Koh Samui, and Krabi are popular for their crystal-clear waters, white sand beaches, and vibrant coral reefs, perfect for all sorts of water excursions and activities.
