This is a flexible day, with your guide available as per your preferences. Besides enjoying your lodging and the extremely charming small town around it, we recommend that you consider the following options for this day (please note availability can be seasonal, and/or on limited days): 

Whale Watching in Mirissa: If you’re visiting between November and April, we can prebook a whale-watching cruise from Mirissa, which is a short distance from Galle. 

Cycling Tours: We can pre-arrange a cycling tour to explore the paddy fields, villages, and the countryside of Galle, or on a quiet beach if you so desire. 

The Martin Wickramasinghe Folk Museum: Learn about Sri Lankan rural culture and history in this museum located in the house of the famous Sinhalese author. 

Rumassala Hill: Of Special interest to Hindu’s, this hill is a piece of the Himalayas dropped by Hanuman in the Ramayan. It offers great panoramic views and people go here to acquire medicinal herbs. 

Seafood Dining: Try some of the beachfront restaurants for fresh seafood and local cuisine. 

Explore the Dutch Canal: Part of the forted city, this can be a walk, or a pre-arranged bike or even boat ride.
